Google officially announced its’ Canada Get Your Business Online initiative at a launch event in Toronto yesterday.
This Ottawa Citizen article cites Google as saying that nearly half of Canadian businesses do not have a website.
In response, Google has partnered with CIRA and Yola to give away free .ca domain name registrations and a free template-driven websites for these businesses to establish their online presence.
